Historic Note:  (Butler Relationship)  The house later became the dwelling of Col. Edward George Washington Butler and his wife Frances during the 1870s. Frances Butler was the great-granddaughter of Martha Washington and grand niece of George Washington.

829 East Beach -- Percival Butler McCutchon born September 26, 1821 married Jane Butler Browder

525 East Beach -- son of Eliza Ann McCutchon Montgomery (Augustus Rhea Montgomery and Margaret Kernochan, his wife, of NO – owned this home )

The McCutchons were also related to the Lawrasons, Butlers, and the Mathews families.
